The course is based on the participants experience thus the attendees must have a basic knowledge of VE with a minimum of 3 or so VE workshops as participants or facilitator. A lot of discussion will take place, attendees must accept to share their knowledge with others to make this course interesting for all. Day 1 topics are: Project structure and team building, variations to the job plan Day 2 topics are: Function analysis and the Functional Performance Specification, cost analysis and value engineering presentations Day 3 topics are: The creativity process, Value Management and personal skills

Date : November 25th Course Description : This one-day course is intended for project managers. It provides information to allow you to knowledgeably include the value engineering process on your projects to increase their cost-effectiveness. You will learn how to decide whether to use value engineering on specific projects, how to get good people to do the value engineering work, and how to get the most out of the value engineering process. You will also learn what the designer’s role is in the value engineering process and how the efforts of both the designer and the value engineering efforts in the process should be scoped.
