Ahmed Farouk Kineber
Dr. Ahmed Farouk Kineber is a Lecturer in Project Management at the School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University, Australia where he also leads the Sustainable Project & Asset Management Research Group. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to construction management and was ranked among the top 2% of global scientists in the field by Stanford University in 2024.
Dr. Ahmed is a Certified Value Specialist (CVS) with SAVE International, a Professional in Value Management (PVM) accredited by the Institute for Innovation and Trend Research (IITF – Value for Europe), and a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) with the Chartered Institute of Building (UK). He also holds the Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) credential from AXELOS Global Best Practice (UK).
He earned both his MSc and PhD with a research focus on the implementation of Value Management in residential and infrastructure projects. Over his career, Dr. Ahmed has developed approximately 65 mathematical models to assess and predict the influence of digital construction tools on sustainability and project performance. These models have been instrumental in identifying the most effective technologies and methodologies for improving project delivery, reducing costs, and enhancing environmental sustainability.
Dr. Ahmed has extensive experience in implementing effective Value Management (VM) and Value Engineering (VE) methodologies for infrastructure projects, supporting decision-making, life cycle cost (LCC) analysis, budget allocation, and engineering economics. Beyond academia, he has provided expert consultancy services to international projects, ensuring the application of best practices in VM and VE across multiple countries.
Dr. Ahmed has published over 100 scholarly papers in the areas of value management and project management. His outstanding contributions to education and research were recognized with the 2025 Thomas J. Snodgrass Distinguished Service for Education Award from SAVE International.
In addition to his research, Dr. Ahmed plays an active role in supporting the global academic community. He serves as a reviewer for several leading international journals and has evaluated more than 150 research articles in the construction management discipline.
